1991 Ford Econoline E-150 Pathfinder 4x4 – 5.0L V8 – Rare California 4x4 Van

If you know old-school 4x4 vans, you know exactly what you’re looking at. This is a 1991 Ford Econoline E-150 equipped with a period Pathfinder 4x4 conversion by Pathfinder Industries of California. Powered by the 5.0-liter V8, this van runs and drives great and has the stance and look that make these vintage four-wheel-drive Econolines so hard to find.

This is a real head-turner. The body is remarkably nice and straight for a 1991, the interior presents very well for its age, and it still has the unmistakable old-school Pathfinder appearance, including the 4x4 badging, manual transfer-case shifter, lifted suspension, aftermarket wheels, and aggressive all-terrain tires.

These early Pathfinder-converted Ford vans are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially ones that haven’t been completely modified, gutted, or turned into someone’s unfinished project. This one still has tons of original character and would make an awesome vintage 4x4, adventure van, camping build, overland rig, surf van, hunting van, or just a killer weekend cruiser.

It is an older vehicle and we are representing it honestly. One section of the floor pan needs to be replaced, and there is normal age-related wear and some corrosion as shown. We are not trying to hide it. That said, the van drives great, looks fantastic going down the road, and is an extremely unusual piece.
